Guangzhou International Sports Performance Center -- basketball competition venue of Asian Games

 

 

 

Guangzhou International Sports Performance Center (NBA basketball center) is the venue for the final week of the 16th Asian Games. It is a unique large-scale comprehensive sports performance center in South China that is built according to NBA standards and fully experiences the original American NBA culture. The construction scale and engineering requirements are second only to Guangzhou Olympic Sports center.

 

 

 

Guangzhou International Sports Performance Center is jointly built by NBA (China), AEG group of the United States and Guangzhou Development Zone Management Committee. The basketball center of the center is the first basketball center designed and constructed in accordance with NBA standards in South China. It is also a large-scale integrated sports and performance activity in China after Beijing Wukesong stadium and Shanghai World Expo Performance Center Venue projects. Nansha gymnasium is a martial arts and handball competition venue of 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. The competition hall is a ring-shaped string dome with a main span of 98 meters. It is the largest stadium in Asia at present. The outer shell of the museum is composed of nine curved surface units, divided into two groups: North and south, which are stacked in layers. The center of the competition hall is spirally radiated horizontally. The design draft is highly recognized by the sub organizing committee and Nansha government. However, the design team was almost baffled by the choice of flooring materials. According to the chief designer, if it wasn't for a friend of the same trade to introduce the teborg crystal rubber flooring materials, the original design might have been modified due to material problems. Therefore, tbank crystal rubber floor is the only floor pavement material specified on the design drawings of Nansha gymnasium.
